It’s finally a wrap for
Saptaswa Basu’s next ‘Jotugriho’. The last day of the shoot took place in Bhowanipore as
Bonny Sengupta, one of the leads in this thriller, shot for a few important scenes.
Saptaswa’s film has another major talking point since it will introduce
Parambrata Chattopadhyay as an elderly priest which we haven’t seen before. Meanwhile, ‘Jotugriho’ also stars
Paayel Sarkar, Anshu bach and Piyali Chatterjee in key roles.
The story has been penned by Arnab Bhaumik.
The horror thriller revolves around a young lad Rehan (Bonny) who comes to a town up in the hills as a hotel manager. Soon he is up against a mysterious energy that lurks in the darkness of a haunted mansion. He meets a local girl amidst all these and the story moves on with lots of twists and turns, and eventually unearths buried secrets from the past. What happens next forms the crux of this psychological thriller.
Meanwhile, Saptaswa has already started shooting for another film ‘Doctor Bakshi’ which is a spin off to his last film ‘Pratidwandi’. This is a medical thriller and it also has Bonny Sengupta and Parambrata alongside
Subhashree Ganguly in the lead. Parambrata will be seen playing the titular role replacing
Saswata Chatterjee who originally essayed the role in ‘Pratidwandi’.
