Recently a program titled Bikalbelar Kabita, Ghas Fuler Kabi O Abasarer Gaan was organized at a city venue to commemorate poet Joy Goswami's 70th birthday.
Under the conception and direction of Shovansundar Bosu, 40 students of the academy presented Jaydhara, a compilation of Joy Goswami's various poems. The audience gave the poet a standing ovation. Joy Goswami recited his own poetry, shared anecdotes, and read from his memoir for an hour. This marked his first stage appearance after announcing his retirement from writing.
The evening's performances continued with songs by Shrikant Acharya, Rupankar Bagchi, and Manoj Murali Nair. Poet and lyricist Arna Seal recited Joy Goswami's poems Astrer Biruddhe Gan (Song Against Arms) and Kothay Amay Dekhle Pothom (Where Did You First See Me). Theater artiste Chaitali Lahiri performed to Joy Goswami's poems Shahenshah O Beenkar (Emperor and Veena Player) and Jai (Victory).

For three hours, the packed auditorium was enthralled by poetry and songs, attracting enthusiastic audiences not just from Kolkata but also from surrounding towns.
