As cinema halls in some parts of the country already shut down, shootings and promotional events postponed due to the spread of the novel coronavirus, both the television and film industries are on the verge of huge losses. Following the footsteps of Kerala, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka and Mumbai, West Bengal is also expected to close down cinema halls to contain the virus, a pandemic declared by WHO.

shoot. They were supposed to shoot in Kalimpong from March 17.

Abir who is playing one of the leads in the film directed by

Srimanta Sengupta

took to his Twitter handle to announce the postponement news.

The slice of a life drama has a cast that’s no short of a galaxy of stars. It includes acting powerhouses Arpita Chatterjee, Paran Bandyopadhyay, Tanusree Chakravorty, Swagata Basu, Abhishek Banerjee, Sumanta Mukhopadhyay, Anirban Bhattacharyya, Ravi Shaw, Swagata Basu, Arya Dasgupta, Pushan Dasgupta, Dibyasha Das, Tanika Basu, Rajarshi Nag, Aritra Dutta Banik in pivotal roles.
The popular actor is also playing one of the leads in Bratya Basu directed ‘Dictionary’ opposite Nusrat Jahan.
