'Swastik Sanket' stars Nusrat Jahan and

Gaurav Chakraborty

in the lead with Saswata Chatterjee essaying the role of Subhas Chandra Bose, and Shataf Figar and Rudranil Ghosh too playing key roles in the film. Based on the novel by Debarati Mukhopadhyay, the story traces Nusrat's character Rudrani, a banker and writer, whose book launch in London leads her into a dangerous yet intriguing conspiracy that concerns some really high stakes.

The film has piqued the interests of the audiences for its World War II backdrop, a unique premise, and also the fact that Nusrat Jahan and Gaurav Chakraborty are pairing up for the first time in their careers.

Coming back to the release of the film, the makers' decision to stick to the original schedule does come as a bit of a surprise, considering that the release of a few others has been pushed due to the ongoing pandemic woes. Very recently, the team of 'Dharmajuddho' revealed that the film wouldn't be releasing on the 21st of January and that the current situation has made things quite tough in this regard. The State Government has restricted occupancy in cinema halls by 50% owing to a steep rise in the number of Covid cases in West Bengal.
