In a recent interview, the controversial director reportedly claimed, for him, cinema is nothing but an information device and he has always tried to incorporate a sort of physical disturbance in the general conscience of the audience. His main agenda is to give the society a shock therapy, to make people realize the harsh reality.
Q prefers disturbing and totally off-beat subjects and loves to breathe life into his narrative by going deep into the world of sex along with abusive language.
The director has become the talk of the town for his surreal films like ‘
Gandu
’ (2010) and ‘
Tasher Desh
’ (2013) and is now quite excited about his recent film ‘Garbage’. It’s the only Indian film in the Panorama section of the 68th
Berlin
festival this year. ‘Garbage’ had its world premiere yesterday at the ongoing Berlin festival.
