Ditipriya miffed with rumours about her alleged boyfriend

Balancing professional and personal lives have always been a challenge for actors. The demanding profession coupled with constant link-ups threaten to drive them insane. Young actress Ditipriya Roy was recently disturbed to hear rumours about her personal life. She was linked up with Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni co-actor, Bishwa Basu Biswas.

"Rumours of link ups are disturbing. Some small-time portal did the story. Initially, I kept quiet. But then it started getting shared and re-shared. That is when I thought I must speak up," Ditipriya said.

The actress feels baseless rumours only waste people's time. "I don't understand why people do this. I have a life of my own, my co-actors have their lives. It's disturbing to get embroiled in such situations. We are professionals and have to work together. Besides, reporters can just verify once by calling me before writing stuff," said an angry Ditirpriya from the set of Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni.

Ask her about her track in the mega serial and she instantly lightens ups. "I have been shooting at a long stretch every single day. Since I am busy now with other commitments too, they are not letting go off me once they get me on set. I was attending

and soon I will be leaving for

IFFI

too," she laughed.



The actress had a memorable KIFF debut this year. "It was my first year at KIFF with

Avijatrik

's screening. The best part is in spite of the pandemic, the film ran to full houses on two days. Prosenjit Chatterjee praised our efforts and the love we received from the audience was overwhelming," Ditipriya said.
