Rosogolla

’s December release, the trailer of the film has hit the right chord. Even the first song from ‘Rosogolla’, ‘Tapur Tupur’, is winning hearts. Set against the backdrop of a 19th century Bengal, the fictionalized biopic is based on the life of Nabin Chandra Das, the inventor of the popular Bengali sweet delicacy. And to double the excitement among the fans, here’s a behind-the-scenes video from the film which gives a sneak peek into the world of ‘Rosogolla’ and how the film has been shot.

Directed by Pavel of ‘Babar Naam Gandhiji’ fame, the biopic details the exciting journey of the dessert pioneer who is keen to concoct a new sweet to win over his newly-wed wife Khirodmoni. After going through so many obstacles, he eventually emerges victorious and also rises to eminence. The film also marks the debut of Abantika along with filmmaker Kaushik Ganguly and Churni Ganguly’s son Ujaan Ganguly.
