bar company, was recently asked to share screen space with Sourav Ganguly, already the face of it, her answer was a big NO. Reason? Directing the commercial, which was fashionably titled Ganguly Barir Pujo and had a melodious song by Jeet Gannguli, was, who else, but Raj! But work is work and Mimi, who knows her hoardings will be splashed across the city next year, finally agreed on one condition: Raj, her former flame, would have to stay away from the shooting floor.

The team, which had planned the commercial with Dada and three Tollywood hotties — the other being Nusrat — had to give in to Mimi’s demands. At the shoot, when Mimi walked in, all dolled up, Raj was nowhere in sight. He was in a distant makeup van with Subhashree as Baba Yadav, with whom Mimi is currently shooting for Villain in Goa, wielded the megaphone for that segment. The director and his wife returned only after Mimi left. As Raj took charge, the other heroine, Nusrat, was far from happy. Those from the sets tell me she was left grumbling as every frame that had her, also had Subhashree in it.
