I have a lot of respect for next generation of actors : Victor Banerjee

Living in Mussoorie, he may have missed out on all the release-month action of his film, Raktabeej, but veteran actor Victor Banerjee said he was thankful to the Kolkata media for all their support.
“When I was in Paris, someone at the airport said how he had loved the film. I’m getting calls and messages even now, but I don’t know why. I’m just a character in the film, while these two young actors (Abir Chatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty) are playing the lead,” he said at a media interaction on Friday that also had the film’s directors Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee in attendance.
All praise for Abir and Mimi, he said, “When I started out, I worked with Uttam babu (Kumar). He had a lot of respect for young actors like me. I have the same respect for my next generation. Also, I genuinely think they have done a great job,” he said.
When asked if he’ll be seen in more Bengali films, he replied in the affirmative, adding, “I’m also doing a web series with Sirsha Ray.” He also cut a celebration cake with the team of the film.
