: Stories From Far East India’ deals with the burning issue of intolerance in eastern India. It’s an anthological thriller narrating three interlinked stories inspired by real-life incidents.
The anthology film, slated to release on September 21, stars
Indraneil Sengupta,
Subrat Dutta, Shiny Gogoi,
Siddharth Boro,
Mandakini Goswami and Amrita Chattopadhyay.
The first story starts with a young man taken hostage in his car by a young girl with a gun while on road to. The desperate girl is running away from someone dangerous. Next story focuses on a young man, under the ill effects of peers and drug abuse, turns into a drug peddler himself. Selfishly, he doesn’t care about anyone except himself. The last one is about an aimless man busy with drinking and gambling all day who gets involved in elephant poaching. Fed up with the taunts from his wife, he embarks on a treacherous journey.
These three stories encapsulate the devastating results which make the first trailer of the film every bit intriguing. Only a few stories come out from these parts of India and highlight the real issues that plague the far east.
