Iman Chakraborty to debut new bold upcoming musical recital

Iman Chakraborty ’s upcoming musical event, Tomake Dekhbo Bole, promises a unique fusion of music, dance, and theatre. The idea took shape when Iman and her husband, Nilanjan Ghosh, visited London’s Piccadilly Street and were captivated by an opera performance. Inspired by Broadway’s grandeur, they set out to bring a similar spectacle to Kolkata. “We couldn’t make it happen overnight—it took a lot of preparation,” Iman shares.

The recital will feature 10 students from Iman’s music academy, alongside she herself, who will be performing and acting in a role unlike any she has taken on before. Directed by Nilanjan and written by Akash Chakraborty, the show presents an innovative blend of dance, music, and theatre. “I’ll be in a completely different look for this, and I’m very excited,” Iman reveals.

The story follows four friends whose bond is forged through Iman’s music. Adding to the excitement, she has lent her voice to 18 original songs for the performance. “This is more than just a show—it’s an experience. We hope everyone will enjoy it,” she says.

The event is set to take place at Nazrul Mancha.
