Vikram Chatterjee is on cloud 9 and rightly so. The trailer launch of his next, Khoj, a psychological thriller, was held at Nandan recently. The trailer throws light on the gripping tale of a doctor's wife who's missing. Vikram plays Sayan Bose, a police inspector while Shataf plays his neighbour, a doctor.
Speaking to us about the positive response the trailer has been receiving, Vikram said, "People always have nice things to say about a film's trailer when they come for the launch.
But the kind of positive reactions we are receiving only goes on to prove that the trailer has been well-received by one and all in the industry. People came back with questions — they were curious about the story, the location and everything else that went into the film's making. It's an overwhelming feeling."
The actor further added, "It's not that my fans and well-wishers are praising the trailer because they feel obligated, it's because they feel so. This motivates me to do better -- much better. It also helps spread the word. Ours is a small movie but the effort is sincere nonetheless. Big names from the film fraternity came forward and appreciated our efforts. Someone like a
Dev doesn't need to do that, you know? He still did and that's amazing. Today, it's not easy to bring people to the theatres unless big names are associated with it and the content is great. I just want everyone to watch the film at theatres and smile as they go out. I want them to feel that the time and money they spent on watching the film is worth it. It's very important for them to feel satisfied with what they have witnessed on the big screen. We have our fingers crossed!"
