Jitendra Jorwal takes charge as new Ludhiana deputy commissioner, vows seamless delivery of services
LUDHIANA: Jitendra Jorwal, a 2014-batch IAS officer on Saturday took charge as Ludhiana deputy commissioner, "vowing" to ensure optimal utilisation of welfare schemes and seamless delivery of services for residents.Earlier, Jorwal had served as DC at Sangrur, ADC Jalandhar, Jalandhar Smart City CEO, Chief Administrator, Jalandhar Development Authority and SDM Hoshiarpur in the past.Jorwal stated providing a transparent administration with complete accountability will be his priority. He emphasised the need for effective implementation of the flagship programmes initiated by the Punjab government. Schemes such as “Sarkar Tuhade Dwar” and “doorstep delivery of services” were under review during the meeting to ensure they reach the intended beneficiaries efficiently.The new DC also "underlined" the district administration’s dedication to providing services to citizens in a smooth, hassle-free, and transparent manner. Earlier, Jorwal was welcomed at the District Administration Complex with a ceremonial Guard of Honour presented by a contingent of the Punjab Police.
