Raima Sen is all set to headline an intriguing tale of the grey shades of relationship, titled ‘NRI Wives: Grey Stories of Love Vs Desires’. With an ensemble cast of Javed Pathan, Bhagyashree, Raima Sen, Kiku Sharda, Samir Soni, Jugal Hansraj, Hiten Tejwani, Aditi Govitrikar, Gaurav Gera, Sadiya Siddiqui, Sameksha Oswal, Olivia Malhotra, and Kapil Arora in key roles, the film is releasing this Mother’s day weekend.
The movie depicts four real life inspired NRI stories diving into the taboo side of the human relationships, emotions, desires, curiosity and how good people can show grey shades too in odd life circumstances.
Javed Pathan who has been in this industry for years juggling between his film and TV stints such as Jodha Akbar, Vighnaharta Ganesh, Maharana Pratap, Baalveer, and Mahadev to name a few shares, “I was invited as the chief judge at the pageant called MS & MRS New Jersey during that time, I met the producer of NRI Wives and she approached me for a music video and we did a few music albums together such as "Tu Zarurat Hai," "Mean Girls," and "Aasmaan." They were also planning to make a film, which is how I became a part of it," adding that, “It was difficult to dream about the film industry, acting, being in the limelight, or being in the glamour field." Many people tried to discourage me, but I believe that if a person wants to achieve something in life, he will go to any length to make that dream a reality through dedication, hard work, and the blessing of his parents.”
Meanwhile, Raima adds, “It was an amazing experience shooting for the film. The story is quite interesting as it sheds light on many less-talked-about sides of society and how we perceive relationships. The complexities of NRI life also have been explored well enough here.”
