Jawan fame actor Sanjeeta Bhattacharya to be seen as a news reporter in upcoming series

Grammy-nominated singer-turned-actress Sanjeeta Bhattacharya stole hearts with her role as one of SRK's allies in Jawan. Now, she is all set to go back to the role of a news anchor named Juhi Shergill for an upcoming series. Unlike her previous stance in season 1, which leaned more towards light-heartedness, her character now assumes a pivotal and serious stance in the storyline. Audiences can anticipate a nuanced performance from her.
When asked about her experience of working with the stellar cast in the series, the Kolkata girl says, "It has been an absolute delight! Shriya Pilgaonkar and I bonded during season 1 almost as soon as we met. Our mutual love for travel, food, and music kept us coming back to each other. I’ve found a lifelong friend in her. Taaruk Raina and I have known each other since I was in the eighth grade. He is my school senior, and we sang in the school band together. It’s great to have friends to lean on while shooting. This project is very special to me because of the people involved."
Talking about her character Sanjeeta says, "Juhi is all matured and is now responsible not only for reporting news but also the stories that are to be reported. She is seen in a new avatar of someone who takes on new challenges head-on, and is now a senior reporter and newsreader."
Sanjeeta has just finished the first schedule of her first Bengali film directed by Srimanta Sengupta that also stars Saurav Das and Chiranjit Chakraborty. She will soon be in Kolkata to finish the next schedule this summer. While Sanjeeta has shared insights from her upcoming musical endeavors, including the release of a new single in May, details regarding her acting projects remain under wraps.
