serial killer
in
Arindam Sil’s upcoming ‘
Troyilokyo
’.
‘Troyilokyo’ is tipped to be a bilingual project in Bengali and Hindi. Tota Roy Choudhury is set to play one of the leads alongside Jaya.
Set in the mid-19th century Bengal, Jaya will essay the role of a Bengali woman Troyilokyo who is a serial killer. She is deeply associated with her partner and love interest Kalibabu, a con artist who has all the skills to become invisible without any trace. Tota Roy Choudhury plays Priyonath Mukhopadhay, a detective who hunts for this criminal jodi and also recorded the journey of Troilokyo in the first Bengali crime periodical in the form of a journal titled as Darogar Daptar No 78. ‘Troyilokyo’ will go on the floors before Durga Puja.
Interestingly, Jaya Ahsan made her foray into Bengali cinema with Arindam Sil’s directorial ‘Aborto’ (2013) along with
Tota Roy Chowdhury.
