Joy Sarkar and team happy with music of Uraan

of debutant director Tridib Raman’s film, Uraan, starring Srabanti and Shaheb Bhattacherjee, released few days back along with the music of the film. The lead cast and the music team, comprising music director Joy Sarkar, lyricist

Actor Kharaj Mukherjee, who has sung a song in the movie, was also present at the event. “Uraan’s music is definitely going to be one of the high points of the movie. Srabanti, who is playing the central character of Poulami Banerjee in the film, said, "Every song of the film has its own flavour and it's really hard to pick a single one as my favourite.”

Actor Shaheb Bhattacharjee, who plays Poulami's beau Romit in the film, said, “The music of Uraan is extremely high on aesthetics. The music team has done wonderful work.”


The film shows how Poulami fights for down-trodden villagers. “Keen to dedicate herself to the service of the sufferers, she struggles to rid the village of a curse. In her quest, she faces various hurdles and obstacles, but is still hell-bent on her mission. Poulami is a very strong character with a lot of shades,” said the actress.
