Director Raj Chakraborty is back again on the working front after his much-talked-about marriage to actress Subhashree Ganguly, and among the first things he did, was to lock the cast of ‘
Katmundu 2 Cambodia
’ which is touted to be a sequel to his 2015 romantic comedy ‘Katmundu’. If all goes according to plan, it will hit the theatres during Durga Puja this year.
There are some interesting changes to this ‘Katmundu’ sequel as few new faces have been roped in. The first one had Abir Chatterjee, Rudranil Ghosh,
Soham Chakraborty,
Srabanti Chatterjee, Tanushree Chakraborty, Mimi Chakraborty and
Saswata Chatterjee in lead roles and it was a laughter riot. However, in the sequel Jisshu Sengupta will replace Abir and Subhashree has joined the team in place of Mimi. We all know, Mimi is director Raj Chakraborty’s alleged ex-girlfriend and how their break up once grabbed headlines.
According to a source close to the development, Rudranil and Soham are all set to reprise their roles from the earlier movie. Their comic timing became a high point of ‘Katmundu’.
As the name promises, the film will mostly be shot in some exotic locations of Cambodia, while the last one was framed mostly in Kathmandu.
The first motion poster of the film has already been released.
