Aniket Chattopadhyay’s upcoming film, Hobu Chandra Raja Gobu Chandra Montri, is in the post-production stage and
Kharaj Mukherjee is currently dubbing for his character. Aniket said the entire process is going smoothly and by the second week of November, they will be able to complete the project. “In that way, we will be able to release the film in December,” he added.
The last leg of the film’s shoot took place in Mandarmani.
Before that the entire unit of the film had gone to the film city in Hyderabad to shoot a part of the film. Talking about the shooting experience, Aniket said though it was extremely hectic, the entire unit enjoyed every bit of the shoot. “With 250 junior artistes, horses, elephants and donkeys, it was more of a pandemonium than a shoot,” Aniket said, adding that he thought he won’t be able to complete the shoot on time.
The film is based on a story by Dakshina Ranjan Mitra Majumdar and will be released at the end of this year. Previously, the film had Dev and
Rukmini Maitra as the main actors. Later, the cast got changed and Saswata Chatterjee, Kharaj Mukherjee, Arpita Chatterjee, Subhasish Mukhopadhyay and
Barun Chanda, among others, were featured in the film. The music has been scored by
Kabir Suman.
Notably, the music for Shankar Mudi, Aniket’s last film, was also composed by Kabir Suman and it was vastly appreciated.
