Kolkata boy Avishek Ghosh to direct Neena Gupta, Lara Dutta in his directorial debut

Kolkata boy Avishek Ghosh is all set to direct his first Hindi film, Ishq-e-Nadaan, starring Mohit Raina, Lara Dutta, Neena Gupta, Kanwaljit Singh, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Suhail Nayyar and Mrinal Dutt.

Gairik Sarkar

is the man behind the camera while the music of the film has been scored by Raja Narayan Deb. The shooting of the film starts in Mumbai today. “I have been associated with the film industry for the past 15 years. I had directed a short film titled Pratidan-Hin starring Arindam Sil and Priyanka Sarkar. But this is my first film as a director. I always had a knack to direct films when I joined the industry. After being in the industry for all these years, I tried to learn the nuances of direction and now, I think, it is the time to don the director’s hat,” said Avishek. He further added, “The film is a romantic drama set in the Mumbai backdrop.”
Does he plan to direct a film in Bangla in the near future? “Of course, I would love to. I belong to the City of Joy,” said the director.
