Koushani Mukherjee to play the love interest of Bangladeshi hero, shoot starts soon

Koushani Mukherjee will leave for

Bangladesh

on Sunday to shoot for a new film which will be directed by

Pujan Majumder

. Not just Koushani, the film titled ‘Piya Re’ also has Rajatava Dutta and Kharaj Mukherjee in the cast. However, when we reached out to both actors they said, “The talks are in the initial stage.”

But, Koushani has confirmed the news, “Yes, I am leaving for

Dhaka

. The lockdown has been lifted there. I have acted in Bangladeshi films earlier. So, it will be fun this time as well. But I can’t divulge anything else right now.” According to a source close to this Indo-Bangladesh project,

Shanto Khan

, a promising actor from Bangladesh, will be seen opposite Koushani. The film will be extensively shot in and around Chandpur and Pubail.

Incidentally, a special permit is needed from Bangladesh government for foreign actors to work there and the makers insist they have already acquired that permit.

Koushani is playing the lead in yet another Bangladeshi film directed by Ronny opposite Bonny Sengupta and to shoot for the song and dance sequences for this yet-untitled film, they were parked in Kashmir earlier in June. She’s also playing one of the leads in Sayantan Ghosal’s next thriller ‘Hirakgarer Hire’.
