Abir Chatterjee is happy about the
Section 377 verdict that was delivered by the
Supreme Court and sees this as a welcome move towards a more progressive country. "Why must the constitution not bestow equal rights on all? Discrimination on the basis on one's orientation is unbecoming of a progressive country. Matters of personal choice cannot be dictated by law then how can a person's right to love be criminalized? I thank the Supreme Court for freeing India of the regressive Section 377. Let's all celebrate the
freedom
today," he said.
