Nusrat Jahan has just finished shooting for the last schedule of
Bratya Basu’s Dictionary. “Being directed by Bratya da and sharing screen space with Abir da was a great experience as usual. Abir da is a big prankster on the sets and there is so much to learn from Bratya da. I feel enriched in so many ways as I learnt a lot from this team in terms of acting. The character I portray is different than what my audience has seen me as, till now,” said the actress.
The film, Dictionary, deals with distance created in relationships. The film explores layers of human ties and it has been adapted from two short stories by Buddhadeb Guha - Baba Howa (Becoming a father) and Swami Howa (Becoming a husband).
Sharing her Diwali plans, the actress-MP said, “This year, I prefer to spend a quiet Diwali with my family and friends. Owing to the pandemic situation, let’s make this Diwali - a festival of lights and not a pollution and sonic boom event. My heart goes out to the animals around us. Let's not torture them by bursting crackers. Kudos to many state administrations for banning the usage of crackers. Let this be a #NoCrackersDiwali.
Especially this year, in this pandemic each one of us should ensure that we don’t indulge in any kind of bursting crackers as the smoke from it will be dangerous for the elderly and COVID-affected people. Post-Diwali, I will finish dubbing for Sayantan Ghoshal’s Swastik Sanket and Bratya da's Dictionary. Also, I have started reading a few scripts to finalise my next projects.”
