Madhumita Sarcar to start shooting for her Hindi debut ‘Farz’ in August

A bunch of Tollywood actors have been captivating Hindi audiences with their remarkable performances in films and web series of late. From Prosenjit Chatterjee to Parambrata Chatterjee, Raima Sen to Swastika Mukherjee, and Paoli Dam, these actors have ventured into various Hindi projects. Now, joining this esteemed list is Madhumita Sarcar, the talented actress who gained fame as Pakhi in 'Bojhena Se Bojhena' and is now set to make her Bollywood debut.

For a while, there were rumors that Madhumita Sarcar had been approached for projects from Mumbai, and she also confirmed this in a recent interview, stating that discussions were underway. Now, it has been confirmed that she will soon appear in a Hindi film titled 'Farz,' directed by Preetam Mukherjee, known for 'Rish' and 'Dr. Gangulyr Diary.' Sharing the screen with her as the male lead will be Tanuj Virwani, known for his roles in 'Purani Jeans,' 'One Night Stand,' 'Inside Edge,' and 'Illegal - Justice, Out of Order.' The film also features Yashpal Sharma, Govind Namdev, and Mushtaq Khan in important roles.

When asked about her first Hindi film, Madhumita Sarcar expressed her excitement, acknowledging the challenges of the role. As a Bengali actress, she will need to adapt to Bhojpuri and Bihari accents for most of her dialogues. Currently, she is preparing herself for this linguistic transformation. Filming for 'Farz' is scheduled to commence in August this year under the direction of Preetam Mukherjee.

In the meantime, fans can look forward to Madhumita Sarcar's upcoming film 'Cheeni 2’, set to release in theaters on 11th August. In this film, she shares the screen with Aparajita Adhya, who plays another significant role. Joining them are Anirban Chakraborti and Soumya Mukherjee in pivotal roles. The release of 'Cheeni 2' will further showcase Madhumita Sarcar's versatility and talent, creating anticipation for her Bollywood debut in 'Farz’.
