Shoojit Sircar to design the action sequences for Buno Haansh
Theyve been friends for long. And now, as
Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury gets busy with his Dev-Srabanti starrer
Buno Haansh, collaborating with him is none other than Shoojit Sircar. The
Madras Caf director will be designing the action sequences for Aniruddhas next.
Talking about it, Aniruddha says, I loved what I saw in both
Yahaanand
Madras Caf. Shoojit takes keen interest in designing the action sequences. He was well aware of
Buno Haansh, like I know that he is helming the production for Anindyas
Opentee Bioscope. The first time I narrated him the story of
Buno Haansh, he was excited and expressed the desire to design the action sequences. I, obviously, jumped at it!
Heaping praise on Shoojit, Aniruddha says that the director is equally adept in handling emotional scenes and daring action sequences. Though Aniruddha is not too keen on divulging the exact scenes, the action bit, involving
Dev, will be shot in Mumbai in December. The film, based on Samaresh Majumdars story of the same name, revolves around a boy (Dev), who gets involved in smuggling, only to realize what a dangerous game it is. Shoojit and I have exchanged notes and I think this sort of a healthy collaboration will go a long way in building a creative atmosphere in the industry, says Aniruddha.
Shoojit, on his part, is super-excited. When a film gets over, theres a huge vacuum. Im trying to fill it up by doing all sorts of things. When Aniruddha told me about the story, I suggested that I do the action sequences. He asked me, Are you serious? Though Im not directing it, I'll be helping him out. By now, I know Mumbai rather well and designing a chase sequence there wouldnt be an issue. Also, this will give me an opportunity to work with Dev, he tells us. Shoojit is currently working on his storyboard, while Aniruddha is busy with direction. We cant wait to see them collaborate!
