Mayurakshi scores a century at the box office
At a time when a film’s fate is decided in the opening weekend, Atanu Ghosh’s Mayurakshi surprised movie lovers no end. A small-budget film that dealt with the father-son relationship and starred Soumitra Chatterjee and Prosenjit Chatterjee in the lead, it picked up on word-of-mouth publicity and has now completed 100 days at the box office. Meanwhile, it also fetched Best Actor awards (critics and popular) for both the actors at the recently concluded Jio Filmfare Awards East.
