‘Mayurakshi’

not only won millions of hearts but also reportedly became a box-office hit.


Now, another feather has been added to its crown. The emotional drama will be screened at the 2018

Indian Film Festival Stuttgart

. It will also compete in two categories – the Director’s Vision Award and Audience Choice Award.


Actress Sudiptaa Chakraborty, who played a key role in the film, took to Twitter to share the good news.





Prosenjit Chatterjee, who played Aryanil in ‘Mayurakshi’, congratulated the director for the film’s overwhelming success.




Apart from the National Award for 'Best Bengali Film', the family drama received the

‘Best Indian Cinema Award’

at the 2018 Bangalore Film Festival recently.

‘Mayurakshi’ is all about a father-son relationship affected by long distance and what happens when the son Aryanil gives a surprise visit to his 84-year-old father who is gradually slipping into dementia.
