Adventures of Jojo

revolves around the trio — Jojo, Shibu and Nonibala — and their escapades in the forests of Baropahari. While enjoying the wildlife there, they, on one occasion, discover the dead remains of a tiger and realise the sad reality of poachers lurking in the jungle. A notorious poacher, Munia Hazari, is in search of Cheengiz — the most-dreaded beast of the forest. Will Jojo be able to rescue Cheengiz from the clutches of Munia Hazari and save the jungle and its wildlife? Padmanabha Dasgupta, who has penned the script of the film, introduces the characters to us. Excerpts...

Samiul Alam: He plays Shibu, who is just the opposite of Jojo. Shibu grew up in the midst of nature. So, he is friendly with the animals. The film shows how their love for environment and wildlife brings them close.

Cheengiz: He is the tiger, who the poachers are prying on. He is 13”-15” in height and is believed to take care of all the animals in the forest. He is hailed as the king of the forest, who is extremely protective in nature.

Jashojeet Banerjee: He plays Jojo, a loving kid from Kolkata, for whom knowledge is not limited to textbooks. He loves to read all kinds of books, draws very well and is imaginative. A young boy, Tobu, and an

, Natobor, exist in his dream world. When he lands in

Arunachal Pradesh

with his uncle, he befriends Shibu and Noni.

Rudranil Ghosh: He is a cruel poacher, Munia Hazari, who once got attacked by Cheengiz and damaged his leg in that encounter. His only mission is to kill animals, specially Cheengiz.

Noni: Noni is an elephant, who is the closest friend of Jojo and Shibu. He is a constant aide to both in their operation to save the wildlife.
