The complaint was emailed to the Bongaon Police Station on Monday, sources said. The incident reportedly occurred while she was performing at a show organised by Nayagopalganj Yubak Sangha Club. In her complaint, the actor alleged she was humiliated on stage and asked to step down mid-performance. She named Tanay Shastri, associated with the organising club, in connection with the incident, who she claims climbed onto the stage, interrupted her performance and asked her to leave in an insulting manner. She described the behaviour as inappropriate and deeply disrespectful to her as an artiste. Taking to social media later, the actor said it was the first time she had experienced such treatment, adding that artists are increasingly being treated as someone’s “property”. She added that after the demand was repeated, she wished the audience a goodnight and left the stage without creating a scene.
