‘I am calling it off’: Arijit’s retirement announcement

‘I got bored’: Why Arijit chose to step back
Soon after, Arijit Singh clarified his decision through a series of posts on his X (formerly Twitter) account. He stressed that there wasn’t a single reason behind the move. “There is not one reason behind this, there are several reasons plus I have been trying to do this since a long time.
Finally I have gathered the right courage,” he wrote.
Explaining further, Singh added, “One of the reasons were simple, I get bored pretty quick, that's why I keep changing arrangements of the same songs and perform them on stage. So here is the thing, I got bored. I need to do some other music to live.” He also said he is excited to hear new voices emerge, adding, “Another reason is I am excited to hear some singer come up and give me real motivation.”

Singh's recent song 'Ghar Kab Aaoge' from the epic war drama, led by Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, 'Border 2' once again touched millions. While playback singing may no longer define his future, Arijit Singh’s music journey is clearly far from over.
