IT professional Nabarun Sen can’t hide his love for Bengali cinema. His passion for cinema is so intense that the NRI from Singapore has now made a full-length Bengali feature film ‘

Dwikhandito

’ which is releasing early next year.

It’s an original story penned by Nabarun himself. The film revolves around a patient Kaushik Roy suffering from dissociative identity crisis and a doctor. Kaushik being a writer starts seeing the character Bipin created by him in his own image and it eventually leads to a dangerous obsession. His wife can’t handle the situation on her own and Kaushik is admitted to a local hospital.

‘Dwikhandito’ stars Saswata Chatterjee as the patient and Saayoni Ghosh as the psychiatrist. While Anjana Basu plays Saswata’s wife Sumona, Soumitra Chatterjee and Koushik Kar will be seen in a pivotal role.

When Nabarun first announced the film, many thought it’s based on Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasrin’s controversial novel which was once banned in Bengal for allegedly hurting Muslim sentiments.
