It is
Gargee RoyChowdhury’s
birthday
and the actress is in no mood for any celebrations due to the worsening
COVID
situation. “There are so many uncertainties and bad news all around that I don’t feel like doing anything
special
on my birthday. I will be at home all day. For lunch, I will have my favourite fish, bhekti, with rice. Dinner, too, will have homemade food,” she said.
Has
Gargee
decided to make any birthday resolutions this year, we asked. “They say we have some sort of special power on our birthday. Going by that logic, I would like to use it to heal the world. People are succumbing to COVID all around and I pray for a corona-free world where we can breathe freely without any fear,” said Gargee.
On the work front, Gargee is working on Arindam Sil’s
Mahananda
. “We have shot for just three days, but I must say this film will mark a milestone in my acting career. We are not shooting now, keeping the pandemic in mind. We plan to start after May 4. Our film is about a movement called
Mahashweta Devi
. In the film, we will show Mahashweta Devi’s life from the age of 28 to 75. So, there is a vast change in terms of her looks, body language and acting. The way makeup artist Somnath Kundu is transforming my looks in this film is praiseworthy,” said the actress.
