As bride Nusrat Jahan made a stunning entry into the mandap — her near and dear ones holding a simplistic yet striking phoolon ki chaadar amped up with golden kaleeras and green foliage — bestie Mimi Chakraborty blew a kiss at her.

The actress-MP, now officially Mrs

Nusrat

Jahan, had a dream wedding with businessman Nikhil Jain at Six Senses Kaplankaya in the Turkish town of

Bodrum

on June 19. No wonder, #theNJaffair was on everyone’s lips in the city they both belong to.

Nusrat, who won the

Lok Sabha

elections this year alongside Mimi, kept the ceremony low-key with only friends and relatives attending it. For her big day, she chose a red-gold lehenga with zardozi work. Her golden embroidered veil bore the initials of both their names — NJ. She completed the look with antique gold jewellery and fresh flowers. Nikhil, who wore an ivory gold sherwani, held the bride’s hands before taking rounds of the holy fire. Mimi, who paired a hot pink brocade crop top with lehenga, sported kundan jewellery on her friend’s wedding. “The experience was amazing and cannot be expressed in words. It was a very emotional journey; we hugged and cried so many times,” Mimi wrote to us in a text message. Nusrat, who shared a picture of the wedding on Twitter at 3.55 am, wrote: “Towards a happily ever after with Nikhil Jain.” Nikhil too shared the same picture on Instagram and wrote a similar caption, tagging the actress in the post. Both actresses couldn’t take their oath in the Lok Sabha because of the wedding, the date for which was decided months back.

We learnt that all the five events of the Bodrum marriage were planned by Weddings by Ekta Saigal Lulla (Mumbai). The photography was done by Knotting Bells. As reported earlier, Nusrat reached Bodrum on June 16. Celebrations for the couple began on June 17, when they had their first get-together. The mehendi and sangeet ceremonies were held the following day.

While Nusrat wore a cream lehenga-choli for the sangeet, wearing her Nikhil tattoo with pride, Mimi opted for a bright yellow lehenga-choli. Nikhil, who shared his sangeet look on Instagram, wrote: ‘Ready to take the leap’. The wedding began at 8.30 pm and guests were treated to a gala dinner of Indian, continental and Turkish cuisines.
