Life in Atlanta, she says, is slower and inward-looking. “I spend a lot of quality time focusing on myself,” she says, calling herself blessed to have aligned her life with someone who takes such good care of her. Her days are filled with reading, films, learning new things, and cooking – often with her mother on call for guidance.
And when it comes to Saraswati Puja, traditions remain non-negotiable. “We’re doing puja in the morning. I’m wearing a sari – a holud sari is a must,” she says. The day’s itenerary includes a simple puja with a college friend, anjali and khichuri. The only lingering worry? “I don’t know if I’ll get to eat kuul here. I’ll be really sad if I don’t.”\

Evenings, phuchka, and the pull of home
“I definitely miss Kolkata,” Tnusree says, admitting that the longing often intensifies in the evenings. Yet, there is one guilty pleasure she misses more than anything else – phuchka. Family continues to anchor her sense of belonging. “I miss my family a lot: my parents, my sisters, my mother,” she says, adding that the ability to see them on screen whenever she wants “gives me strength” and has softened the distances between them. Childhood memories surface often too – from the quiet dependence of school days to thoughts of her thamma, a reminder that some attachments only deepen with time and distance.

Lights, camera, action, and the life she left behind
Scrolling through Tollywood Instagram updates only deepens the nostalgia. “I really miss being part of the industry,” she says, recalling the warmth of familiar faces and the rhythm of shooting schedules. “I miss the shooting para, call times, lights, camera, action,” she says adding that when the pull becomes overwhelming, cinema becomes her refuge.
