Parambrata Chattopadhyay is riding high with his impressive work both in Bollywood and Tollywood. The prolific actor-filmmaker has his hands full with some interesting projects this year, also savoring the success of the recent movies.
Parambrata is currently in London where two of his films were screened recently. The first one was ‘Ghare Pherar Gaan’, which premiered on 2nd July at the London Indian Film Festival.
The film is directed by Aritra Sen who is Parambrata’s friend and partner for years in his production house. It’s a musical film also focusing on the complexities of a modern relationship. The film also marks Parambrata and
Ishaa Saha’s first pairing together. Gourab Chattopadhyay and Anasua Majumder are also playing key roles in the slice-of-a-life drama.
The other one was the critically acclaimed ‘Abhijaan’, a biopic based on the life of legendary actor
Soumitra Chatterjee, which had a private commercial screening on 3rd July in London. The film, directed by Parambrata himself, stars the late legendary actor,
Jisshu Sengupta, Paoli Dam, Basabdatta and others in pivotal roles. The biopic, since its release in April 2022 has received appreciation from one and all.
Parambrata is extremely happy about the love and positive responses he received from the audiences at the screening of both films.
Meanwhile, he will soon reunite with
Abir Chatterjee for director
Raja Chanda’s romantic thriller. Apart from this, Param has already wrapped the shoot of his next directorial ‘Boudi Canteen’. He was last seen in the film ‘Habji Gabji’, directed by
Raj Chakraborty.
