Sreelekha Mitra’s previous two directorial works ‘Bitter Half’ and ‘Ebong Chhad’, Sreelekha Mitra is ready for her next ‘Baranda’ which will see Parno Mittra in the lead. All these three are short films and the actor-director plans to make an anthology combining four short stories. The anthology film will then be released in theatres. Earlier, both ‘Bitter Half’ and ‘Ebong Chhad’ received critical acclaim and Sreelekha is excited about her upcoming.
Meanwhile, Parno is happy to collaborate with director Sreelekha. The actor has watched the short ‘Ebong Chhad’ and she really liked it because of the sound treatment giving a world cinema vibe. She has already heard the story and eagerly waiting to start the shooting. The film will have less dialogue and Parno feels it is quite challenging because dialogues always help to communicate. But with the absence of dialogues it becomes more intriguing for an actor.
Sreelekha is also happy that her previous two short films have been well appreciated by those who watched it and she is eagerly waiting to start the next one with Parno. According to the director, despite being seen in a very glammed-up avatar in almost all her films there is a melancholy in Parno’s face and it will be a perfect fit for the character she is playing in ‘Baranda’.
Meanwhile, Parno has two more films in the lineup, Rajdeep Ghosh-directed ‘Bonbibi’ and Shib Ram Sharma’s ‘Sunetra Sundaram’.
