Pics: Anushka Sharma dons the signature blue jersey of Team India, shoots at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens

On Monday, Anushka Sharma shot several important scenes from her next film ‘Chakda ’Xpress’ at Kolkata’s iconic cricket stadium Eden Gardens in the evening. A series of pictures from the shooting has now gone viral. According to reports, the shooting kicked off in the evening and all the gates at the stadium had to be heavily secured to prevent unauthorized entry. The actress reportedly entered the ground at around 8 pm and shot some key sequences for the next few hours. As we see in the picture, the sequences that were shot might be part of an India-Pakistan match. As per reports, Anushka, in the signature blue jersey of the Indian team, also bowled from the high court end and looked extremely skillful with the ball. On October 20, the actress would reportedly travel to Howrah to shoot some intense scenes. According to sources, Anushka was so excited to shoot under the magical floodlights of Eden and she is happy with all the arrangements. Meanwhile, ‘Chakda ’Xpress’, directed by Prasit Roy, is the biopic of former Indian Women’s Cricket Team captain Jhulan Goswami and Anushka is playing the titular role of Jhulan in the film. The actress, along with her daughter Vaamika, reached Kolkata on Sunday and will be in the city till the end of this month. The shooting of the film started earlier in June and since then Anushka has often shared glimpses from the shooting and also her preparation to slip into the character of Jhulan Goswami. The actress has even left her husband Virat Kohli super impressed with her dedication and determination for the sports drama.
