Arnab Middya directed ‘Andarkahini’. Priyanka took to her twitter handle to share this great news.
The Bengali actress uploaded a picture of the award with a caption that read: “Honored to receive d Best Actress Award for the film 'Andarkahini' at the 8th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival, 2018, that too on the birth anniversary of Phalke- d "Father of Indian Cinema". Sincere thanks to d jury & d director of d film Arnab Middya, for d trust in me.”
‘Andarkahini’ is director Arnab Middya’s debut Bengali film which narrates four different stories of four different women. Priyanka has been moulded for the four different women characters and all are different when it comes to social strata.
