You can take a Bengali out of Bengal but not Bengal out of a Bengali. Raakhee Gulzar, who loves her private life in Panvel, away from the public eye, continues to share great love for Bengal. The veteran actress, who is currently in Kolkata to shoot for Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s Aamar Boss, not only sang the famous ‘Shing nei tobu naam tar singha’ on spotting the lion at the outer gate of Victoria Memorial, she gorged on more than a handful of phuchkas as part of a sequence in the film.

As the crowd swelled at the shooting spot, the veteran actress was seen interacting with a child who came up to her for an autograph and even a vendor selling a motley of plastic toys. She was heard saying that she was hopeful about him getting customers for the day. “She has a heart of gold. Among many other things that she keeps doing for us, she bought a cake for the team when we were shooting at a departmental store today,” said Shiboprosad, who is also a part of the film’s cast.

Aamar Boss also features Sauraseni Maitra, Shruti Das, Aishwarya Sen, Uma Banerjee and Averi Singha Roy, who were all seen shooting at Victoria Memorial on Tuesday. The film also stars Gourab Chatterjee, Kanchan Mullick and Bhaskar Banerjee in important roles. Both Uma and Kanchan were a part of the director duo’s Puja release, Raktabeej.
