Raj Chakraborty is in trouble just before Durga Puja. The filmmaker’s social media pages have been hacked. Although the pages of Facebook haven’t been erased, the names of those pages have been changed. Raj’s personal profile, his public page, and the page of Raj Chakraborty Entertainment have different names as of now. The filmmaker revealed that his team has already reached out to the Meta authorities. Not just that, Raj’s team has lodged a complaint at the cybercrime department of the Kolkata Police.

If one searches for Raj Chakraborty on Facebook, one can see that the names of those pages are written in some other language instead of English. However, all the information in the bio of the pages is written in English, which identifies the filmmaker.

Raj informed us that the hackers had gotten hold of all three of his Facebook profiles. The three profiles include his personal profile, his page, and his production company’s page. Raj mentioned that he didn’t understand the ins and outs of social media much and that he had a dedicated team who managed his social media profiles. As per the filmmaker, his team received the notification that the names of the pages had been changed. After that, reality sank in.

Raj revealed that for the last few days, there was a problem with his profile on Facebook. But the filmmaker did not realize that his profiles were targeted by hackers. Raj has already lodged a complaint with the cybercrime branch of the Kolkata Police. In addition, Facebook authorities have also been informed about the matter. According to Raj, he and his team had done everything possible on their part.

Raj revealed that he and his team were awaiting the resolution of the matter. Raj is hopeful that he will get back all three profiles.

Raj had a release on this year’s Independence Day, ‘Babli’. Although the Abir Chatterjee and Subhashree Ganguly starrer film had a promising arc, the film could not do that well at the box office due to the RG Kar rape-murder incident. His next film, 'Santan,’ which was slated to release during Durga Puja, has been pushed to Diwali, 2024.
