Rakhee Gulzar, who plays the protagonist in Aamar Boss, has wrapped up her shoot in Kolkata. Actors, who shared the screen with the veteran actress in her comeback film, directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, share details from the shoot and why Rakhee is still the boss.

Shiboprosad Mukherjee shares that despite being a veteran, Rakhee would rehearse every scene and talk to the cinematographer Indranath Marik to ask about the camera lens. “I’ve not seen many big stars doing rehearsals ahead of the shoot but Rakhee di was different,” he adds.

‘I was nervous on the first day, but Rakhee di made me feel comfortable’
For Srabanti, her parents were elated to see her share the screen with the veteran actor. “Both my parents are her fans, and they couldn’t believe it when they saw my picture with her from the sets,” shares Srabanti, who recalls feeling nervous on the first day of the shoot but Rakhee Gulzar making her feel at ease.

‘She gives a lot of space to her co-actors’
Rakhee’s portrayal of Durga in Karan Arjun (1995), is one of her most iconic performances. Actress Sauraseni Maitra remembers seeing the actress for the first time in the film, and the latter’s famous dialogue ‘Mere Karan Arjun ayenge.’ “Later when I watched more of her films, I realised the number of hit films she has delivered.” she shares, adding, “She gives a lot of space to her co-actors which shows how secure she is as an actress.”
