Ribhu Dasgupta's TE3N to promote Bengal tourism

Bengal's filmi pitch to outsiders as an attractive destination for both business and leisure does not begin and end with Shah Rukh Khan. While the Badshah of Bollywood has signed up as the state's brand ambassador, the industry's Shahenshah, too, may be seen promoting Bengal tourism soon.

Bengal's filmi pitch to outsiders as an attractive destination for both business and leisure does not begin and end with Shah Rukh Khan. While the Badshah of Bollywood has signed up as the state's brand ambassador, the industry's Shahenshah, too, may be seen promoting Bengal tourism soon.
The state tourism department is in talks with the marketing and finance team of the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer TE3Nin order to use movie clips in the department's promotional videos.���Since TE3N has been shot entirely in Kolkata, we see it as a great opportunity to promote tourism in West Bengal along with portraying Kolkata as a charming city .

We have received a letter from the production team last week. Two members of their finance team are visiting us regularly . TE3N has Kolkata's rich cultural elements and using the movie shots to promote tourism will benefit both parties. According to us, it is not a bad idea at all,��� said AR Bardhan, principal secretary , state department of tourism.
TE3N is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and has Sujoy Ghosh, the Kahaanimaker, helming the production. Apart from Bengal's jamaibabu Amitabh Bachchan, the film also stars Vidya Balan -many like to think of her as Kolkata's very own daughter -Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tollywood actors like Kharaj Mukherjee, Sumit Samaddar and Sabyasachi Chakrabarty .
���Ogilvy and Mather is responsible for our marketing strategies and we have instructed them to finalise the campaign. We want to use the best of shots from the movie,��� added Barman.
Barman also said that the entire campaign using TE3N shots will be shown to chief minister Mamata Banerjee after the state elections and the proposal would be moved to the Cabinet for the final go-ahead.
Sumanto Chattopadhyay , executive creative director, South Asia, Ogilvy and Mather, told us, ���Yes, we have been asked to start planning the campaign. Our team is working in full swing to finalise the shots to be used in our print and video ads.The campaign will also run with the tagline `Sweetest start of India'. The idea is to promote the culture of Bengal, which is known as a place where the people are sweet, the language is sweet and even our sweets are sweet.���
TE3N director Ribhu confirmed the . news, saying, ���Discussions have taken place and the matter is being handled by the producers of the movie.���
