‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ actors Churni Ganguly and Tota Roy Choudhury took fans by surprise when they visited a cinema hall in Kolkata to interact with the audiences as their latest Bollywood release continues to enjoy a stellar box office run.
They have played Ali Bhatt’s Bengali character Rani’s parents in the Karan Johar-directed film and have earned accolades for their impressive performance. Particularly Tota Roy Choudhury’s portrayal of a classical dance exponent has become the talk of the town ever since Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh’s romantic family drama released.
During their hall visit, Tota and Churni were seen happily posing for pictures with the fans.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar who made his directorial return with this film wrote a heartwarming note on Instagram as ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ entered the ₹200 crore club at the global box office. In his post, he dedicated the success of the film to the entire cast and crew members and revealed how he almost collapsed and thought he might require an IV drip due to handle the anxiety during the film’s release.
‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ hit the big screens on July 28 and received an overwhelming response from critics and celebrities alike. While the film has raked in over ₹200 crore worldwide, the film made it to the ₹100 crore club at the domestic box office in just 10 days after the release and managed a business of more than ₹105 crore net.
