The official trailer of Ratool Mukherjee’s next ‘
Ikir Mikir
’ is out now and it promises to deliver a gripping thriller. Interestingly,
Rupanjana Mitra and
Rajatava Dutta play murder suspects in the film. As we see in the trailer, a security guard has been murdered but no further details of the storyline have been revealed.
Sourav Das plays a police inspector who investigates the case, and
Rupanjana
and Rajatava’s characters puzzle him with misleading statements. The trailer soon shifts focus on many shades of these two characters and mystery intensifies. Their testimonials raise suspicion. The intriguing trailer also shows these two suspects had come across each other at the crime scene.

Speaking about the film the director had earlier shared that ‘Ikir Mikir’ serves an important social message as well, “The thriller takes the form of a maze during the first half and gradually takes an unexpected turn in the second half catering to a very important social issue which is less discussed. We have made this film in just 7 days and humbly would say if thriller is your genre then this is the film you are looking for.”
While Ratool himself has penned the story, the music has been composed by
Debojyoti Mishra while
Nikhita Gandhi has sung the title track and Eshan Sil is the editor. Silajit Chakraborty has designed the sound in ‘Ikir Mikir’.
Made in only seven days, the film also features
Deboprasad Halder, Apratim Chatterjee, Anindita Raychaudhuri and child actress Tiyasha Saha.
