Saswata Chatterjee who is receiving a lot of praise for delivering such a commendable performance in Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film ‘Dil Bechara’ still can’t get over the Bollywood actor’s tragic death.
“I got the chance to work with him in ‘Dil Bechara’. He was always a jovial and promising young man with no starry tantrums, always stayed down to earth cracking jokes every now and then.

We had shot in Jamshedpur for days together and I can’t forget how punctual he was. He used to wake up at five o'clock in the morning and play cricket with all those hotel guys. Sushant was also interested in Bengali films. He often asked how things happen in Tollywood, how we work together,” an emotional Saswata recalls his ‘Dil Bechara’ co-actor while speaking to ETimes.

Saswata believes this lockdown has guided him to change a lot as a human being. The versatile actor has become a lot calmer now. “I am staying at home since March and frankly speaking, I have never stayed away from work for such a long time. This lockdown has also enriched my patience level helping me to become much more composed. I have learned to accept things without getting agitated, as we are seeing worse happening across the world,” says Saswata.
The ‘Tarikh’ actor had wrapped up the shoot another Hindi film ‘The Bad Boy’, a romantic comedy, before the lockdown was imposed but there are a few projects which are stuck in limbo. “Shooting for two Bengali films ‘Eta Amader Golpo’ and ‘Rohossomoy’, are still left and I don’t know when we can resume. Shooting for TV serials with so many restrictions can be made possible but I have serious doubt whether that’s applicable for film shootings as well. Also, talks are on with Arindam Sil and Kamaleswar Mukherjee for their next films,” added the seasoned actor.
