Shaheb to pair with Durga Santra in ‘Bhorer Pakhi’

Parthasarathi Joardar’s upcoming directorial ‘

Bhorer Pakhi

’ will introduce a fresh pair to Tollywood.

Durga Santra

will share the screen for the first time alongside Paran Bandopadhyay, Rajesh Sharma, Biswanath Basu, Biswajit Chakroborty,

Sonali Chowdhury

and others in pivotal roles.

The film narrates a slice-of-a-life story where on one side stand a greedy uncle Gouricharan and auntie Shova and on the other side stands a genuine, nice and caring lover who is a mechanic from a poor background. And then there’s a young girl who lives with her wicked uncle and auntie waiting to take control of her property. The wicked uncle is

desperate to get her married to his brother-in-law, an unserviceable, unschooled and local goon. On the other hand, eloquent about all the truths the young girl Pakhi loves Akash.

Here enters the final decision maker, the young girl’s grandfather from London and in his first meet he realizes the conspiracy going on against his granddaughter. He however likes the simplicity and innocence in Akash. The fight between a wicked avaricious guardian and Pakhi’s love brings a new twist. Now it’s up to the grandfather to decide Pakhi’s fate. Who will be Pakhi marry? Will it be Madan introduced by the greedy guardians or Akash introduced by Pakhi? That’s what forms the crux of the film.
