Windows Production has started the year on a high note. The Pathikrit Basu directorial ‘Dabaru’ released in theatres in May, during the summer vacations and has been enjoying quite a successful run. The film that follows the extraordinary journey of a young chess prodigy named Surya, who emerges from the streets of North Kolkata to achieve the prestigious title of Grandmaster, recently celebrated 50 days of its theatrical run. However, despite the success of ‘Dabaru’, the audience will have to wait for a while to enjoy the next movie coming out of Windows Production. The Shiboprosad-Nandita directorial ‘Aamar Boss’, which was supposed to release in this June, has been pushed back. ‘Aamar Boss’ will now have its release around Christmas this year.

‘Aamar Boss’, featuring the esteemed actress Rakhee Gulzar, was originally slated to release on June 21. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, its release has been postponed. The film is now expected to hit the screens around Christmas this year. The movie has also received an uncut ‘UA’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Not just ‘Aamar Boss’, the director duo Shiboprosad-Nandita are set to cater another film to the audience this year. Their highly anticipated action-chase drama ‘Bohurupi’ is slated to release during Durga Puja this year. The post-production work of the film is going in full swing. Due to the same, it was difficult to manage time to accommodate promotions of the film ‘Aamar Boss’. Hence, the delay in release.

‘Aamar Boss’, which marks the comeback of Rakhee Gulzar to the screens after nearly two decades, promises to be a heartwarming tale that explores the dynamics of a relationship at home and the workplace with sensitivity and insight. With a stellar cast comprising actors like Srabanti Chatterjee, Sauraseni Maitra. ‘Aamar Boss’ also features television actors Shruti Das and Gourab Chatterjee. With an innovative storyline and the creative vision of Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, ‘Aamar Boss’ hopes to captivate the audiences and leave a lasting impression.
On the other hand, Shiboprosad-Nandita’s upcoming film ‘Bohurupi’, inspired by real-life incidents, has been in the works since 2011. According to Shiboprosad Mukherjee, the planning for ‘Bohurupi’ began right after their film ‘Muktodhara’. ‘Bohurupi’ aims to capture the timeline between 1998 and 2005 and is based on a chain of events that took place around that time. ‘Bohurupi’ is slated to release during Durga Puja this year.
