Sonalee Chaudhuri is keeping busy these days. The actress is at present busy shooting for Partha Sarathi Joardar’s film, Bhorer Phaki, which also stars Rajesh Sharma,
Biswanath Basu, Paran Bandopadhayay and others.
“I play Rajeshda’s wife, while Biswanath plays my brother. t is a comedy where we will see how Biswanath’s family wants him to get married to a rich girl so that her property can be usurped. But the film shows how all their plans go haywire,” said the actor. She added, “This is my second film with Parthada after
Amar Prithibi
. What I like about him is that he gives a lot of space to his actors. He is also super cool on the sets. I have lost count of how many films and serials I have worked with Biswanath. He was my hero in the serial, Jol Nupur. It will be my fourth film with Rajeshda. I worked with him earlier in Bye Bye Bangkok, Agni and Choy Chuti. So, it is more adda and less work on the sets. Working with
Paranda
is always a pleasure as I get to learn so much from him. Even at this age, he is a bundle of energy.”
Sonalee is also busy shooting for the serial, Kone Bou, which is a story of an innocent village girl, Koli, who becomes a victim of human trafficking.
Sonalee will start shooting for debutant director Kaushik Sarkar’s film, Golpo Jodi Sotti Hoy, from December. The film stars Debdut Ghosh, Biswanath Basu and others. “I play a teacher in this film. Debdut plays my husband. The film is a lot like Galpo Holeo Satyi, which starred Rabi Ghosh," said Sonalee.
