Soukarya making a film on the struggles of obsessive compulsive disorder

Director Soukarya Ghoshal and Jaya Ahsan first worked together for the yet-to-be-released film ‘Bhootpori’. Now, the talented filmmaker and the powerful actress will pair up again for his next film titled ‘OCD’. The film also features Kaushik Sen, Koneenica Banerjee and Anushua Majumder. “As the name suggests, the film is about a person who suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder. Jaya will be playing that character. I worked with Jaya in Bhootpori and it was a wonderful experience,” Soukara shared with ETimes. Meanwhile, Kaushik had acted in Soukarya’s ‘Rainbow Jelly’ and Anushua worked in ‘Pendulum’. “I have never worked with Koneenica and I am really looking forward to it,” the filmmaker added. On the other hand, Soukarya’s film ‘Bhootpori’ starring Jaya Ahsan, Ritwick Chakraborty and Sudiptaa Chakraborty in pivotal roles is a story of a little boy who is suffering from chronic somnambulism one day encounters a Ghost who is trapped in a time warp for 70 years, and in the process discovers they both see a common dream. Besides, ‘Bhootpori’ Jaya Ahsan has two more films in the pipeline – Indraadip Dasgupta’s ‘Asatoma Sadgamaya’ and Shieladitya Moulik’s ‘Chheledhora’.
