The popular actor points out that it can be our health, our work, or our relationships, “The yearning and unrealistic expectation we put on ourselves to be perfect only sets us up for disappointment because no one is perfect. But we are all worthy of love and care. You can be both imperfect and loveable at the same time. Comparing ourselves to others is a common source of self-esteem issues. And, when we make these surface-level comparisons, we can very quickly feel less-than, worthless, and less loveable.”

She also feels that it is great to recognize another’s strengths and accomplishments but we also have to forcus on self-care, “You too, have so much that makes you unique, amazing and worthy of your own praise. No doubt that we have things we want to improve on and grow with. But we don’t need to shame ourselves for not having/being there yet. I would say please be mindful of the story you are creating about yourself… Nothing says “I love you” more to yourself than practicing self-care.”

Srabanti suggests that it can be as simple as sleeping enough, eating healthy food, getting in a workout, addressing health issues etc. “It can also be saying to yourself out loud “I love you and you’re awesome”. Self-care is not a luxury; it’s a necessity for our health, our self-esteem, our relationships and our well-being,” adds the actor who is also gearing up for yet another challenging role in national award-winning director Subhrajit Mitra’s next period drama in which she plays the iconic literary character Devi Chaudhurani. The film also has Tollywood superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee in an important role.
